Animal Attitudes

In 2017, in the wake of the results of the 2016 presidential election, I conducted the Angry Cats project, for which I created and gave away small collages of disgruntled felines—they didn't want to be grabbed—to lift people's spirits and encourage them to vote. At the same time, I began working on larger images to capture familiar animals' expressive behaviors. Through these images of animal attitudes, I invite viewers to consider not just our experiences with beloved pets, but also the human emotions that they may bring to the surface.
